It was sheer brilliance to start a talk show about medicine and health, and "The Doctors TV" is the culmination of that brilliance:

Meh. I've seen 4 or 5 episodes and I think a lot of it is the typical hollywood-ish medical talks. One of the episodes was on strokes and they were way too dramatic for my tastes. Yes, CVA like symptoms are pretty serious and should not be ignored, but they portrayed it as if you're going to die if you are displaying any CVA symptom and do not get medical help immediately.
I suppose they kind of have to be like that because of the extremely rare population that will develop a CVA and only have minor symptoms. Still though, I thought they focused too much on the "wow!" elements and not enough on facts and statistics.

They are Hollywood and appeal to the general population. Not much to be learned there by medical professionals and students. Much more to be learned here at Virtual Residency, for sure.

After a couple of reasonably informative shows in the beginning, the show has turned from mediocre to worse. They are about medical hype and often given advice that is short of paranoid and difficult for the medical community to digest.
Their focus is all ratings now... A decent idea, going awry.
